Normal DVDs are not in the correct format to copy over to your iPod, so they will need to be converted to MP4 before you can make the transfer. This is best done by saving the DVDs to your hard drive in MP4 format.

In order to make the transfer from DVD to your iPhone, you'll need a computer, a connecting lead between the computer and the iPhone, and some “ripping” software to rip the movies from the DVD and save them to your hard drive.
